There are other places to stay that are a short 20-30 minute drive away such as the mainland, Brunswick, GA, and the neighboring island, St. Simons Island. However, there is one road on and off the island and it can get backed up throughout the day. To ensure the quickest and easiest arrival to the venue, staying on Jekyll Island would be preferred.

Jekyll Island is a small, quaint island that has several places to rent bicycles and golf carts. Red Bug Motors offers electric and gas powered cart rentals on the island. Uber and Lyft are not very prevalent on the island. Many hotels offer shuttle service to and from any location on the island and At Your Service Jekyll Island Girl offers transportation services around the Island as well. Prices range from $15-20 per ride depending on the time of day/night. After 11pm rides are $25. You can book services by calling at (912) 577-0751.

As a state park, all vehicles entering Jekyll Island are required to pay a parking fee. The entry fee to Jekyll Island is used to improve and maintain the island, including roads, grounds, picnic areas, and landscaping. There is a small parking lot at the venue. With Villa Ospo being in the historic district of the island, there are other parking lots scattered throughout the historic district that you may use free of charge.

South Georgia is known for its humid heat. The humidity in late May will not have reached its peak, but expect some humidity and temperatures in the 70s and 80s.

Some guests have had difficulty booking their preferred room or dates at the Westin. This is based on the availability left in the hotel block. If you are experiencing trouble booking for Thursday or Sunday night, please let us know as we may need to see if the hotel can add more rooms to those nights.
